PS Announces Kitchen Opening and Appoints Executive Chef Matt Roman to Lead Culinary Experience
Featuring an all-new menu inspired by travel and crafted with a global influence and a signature Californian touch.
Los Angeles, CA (April 26, 2022)– PS, the private luxury terminal service for commercial flights currently at LAX, announces the opening of their kitchen and appointment of the new Executive Chef, Matt Roman.
Chef Matt Roman brings over two decades of experience, mastering and refining his craft at some of the best restaurants in Southern California. Graduating from Le Cordon Bleu in 2004, one of the most prestigious culinary schools in the world, Chef Matt went on to cut his teeth in the state’s finest restaurants, including The Napa Rose, The Cellar, Haven Gastropub, Benchmark Restaurant and more.
Chef Matt draws inspiration from the State’s natural resources and its tastemakers of cuisine. With the bounty of seasonal produce and local farmer’s markets, his goal is to be a part of the development of the local culinary scene, while exploring and delivering his passion for connectivity through food. As Executive Chef at PS, Matt brings the highest level of service and creativity to a globally inspired seasonal menu that is equally influenced by travel and a sense of place. By partnering with local businesses, exploring new cuisines, and collaborating with his team, Matt’s culinary vision will connect travelers with the spirit of Los Angeles as well as the flavors of European staples.

Signature dishes include hyper-seasonal and technically rich plates that are elevated, enticing, and available “to-go” for customers to enjoy within their Private Suite, The Salon, on the plane or indulge at home. From Pan Roasted Salmon to Herb Marinated Hanger Steak and the Chef’s signature style Beet Salad with pistachio and blackberries, Chef Matt brings comfort and warmth to guests traveling through PS by offering his own interpretation of the luxury travel experience.

In addition to an extensive menu of chef-prepared meals and cocktails available for both departures and arrivals, the PS experience includes several other surprise and delight moments like complimentary caviar freshly flown from Italy, off-menu amuse-bouche passed throughout the day, and warm freshly baked homemade cookies and milk for those travelling with children.
